Kenneth and Rose came all the way from Austin, Texas for their NYC elopement, and let me just say, they nailed the vision. Sight unseen, they booked 620 Loft & Garden, a rooftop venue that feels like this quiet little dream floating above Manhattan! It overlooks the iconic St. Patrick’s Cathedral, has perfectly manicured greenery, a chic fountain, and somehow manages to feel still and peaceful…in the middle of Midtown. This was their ceremony backdrop. Just the two of them. At their 620 Loft & Garden wedding.
Private vows, a rooftop breeze, and the kind of hush that makes the moment feel extra sacred. Ugh! The romance. Oh, and it was all captured because they booked the Dream Team Collab Package (aka me documenting via photo & Jay Dekony documenting via video). If you’re looking for that seamless photo and video combo, we’ve got you! Truly the best of both worlds with still photos and a cinematic video, we create together constantly and it makes days like this feel effortless for our couples. You focus on marrying your person. We handle the magic!
A First Look with a View (And a Whole Lot of Emotion)
We started the day with a rooftop first look, and it was giving cinematic softness. Rose walked toward Kenneth in the most ethereal floral gown, complete with a slit and veil that danced with every breeze. You could just feel the emotions radiating between them, a sweet mix of nerves, excitement, and that this is really happening kind of energy. The way Kenneth looked at her? Someone hand me tissues. All of them!

A Rooftop Elopement Ceremony Overlooking St. Patrick’s Cathedral
With a violinist playing softly in the background, they exchanged vows in the golden morning light, just the two of them and their officiant. Every part of it felt so intentional and unrushed. You could feel the presence of the moment. No distractions. Just two people soaking in their love story above the city noise. After the “I do’s” came the celebratory champagne pop (of course) and a first dance that felt straight out of a movie. Their laughter, the music, the skyline behind them, it was magic in motion!

A Quick Shift: From Calm to Classic NYC Chaos
Once we wrapped up the rooftop portion, we took it to the streets. I always love building in some NYC grit and energy after a calm moment, that contrast is chef’s kiss. We headed down to Fifth Ave, shot in front of Radio City Music Hall, and fully leaned into that electric just-married energy. There’s something about a wedding dress crossing the street in Midtown that just stops traffic, literally and emotionally. Rose & Kenneth were glowing. We danced with cabs, dipped near hot dog carts, and even made a pit stop at the subway station for a few playful frames!

Cocktails, Polaroids, and That Just-Married Glow at Avra
The final chapter of this elopement fairytale? A cozy table for two at Avra, a gorgeous restaurant right across from Rockefeller Center. First drinks as husband and wife. Cheering with fresh cocktails. Smiling at the little stack of Polaroids from the day like, did we really just do that?! They sat at the bar for a moment, soaking it all in. Then moved outside, under the striped umbrellas, and let the city bustle around them while they just existed together. Relaxed. Radiant. Married!
