From Childhood Friends to Fiancés: This Romantic Manhattan Proposal Will Melt You

Okay, this romantic Manhattan proposal might actually ruin you (in the best, most hopelessly romantic way possible). Noah and Marissa met when they were eleven. ELEVEN!! And now, ten years, countless memories, and one seriously thoughtful rooftop setup later, he got down on one knee with the Freedom Tower sparkling behind them, photos from their entire relationship surrounding them, and tears (from everyone) in full force. Honestly, it was a moment straight out of a movie, but better, because it was real!

Planning the Perfect Romantic Manhattan Proposal

When Noah reached out, he already had a rooftop booked and a vision in mind. I could tell immediately, this guy wasn’t just proposing, he was crafting a memory. He printed photos from their years together and lined the space with them, creating this cozy, intimate little nook in the middle of the Manhattan skyline. The way the golden-hour light hit the grass, the sparkle on her dress, the skyline behind them, pure magic. You could feel the buildup of a decade of love just humming in the air.

The Rooftop Moment That Changed Everything

As they stood together surrounded by their story, Noah took her hands, said some impossibly sweet things (that I absolutely will not quote here because it felt like their private universe), and dropped to one knee. Marissa’s reaction? Immediate joy, disbelief, and that full-body overwhelmed happy cry that just wrecks you. The Freedom Tower stood tall behind them like this glowing, silent witness to a brand new chapter.

A Walk Through Manhattan After Saying Yes

They weren’t done yet! After the rooftop, they walked hand-in-hand along the West Side Highway, soaking in the city and that just-engaged glow. The dock at sunset? STUNNING. Golden light, the breeze off the Hudson, the sound of the city behind them, it felt like the city itself was celebrating. And THEN… a surprise entrance from their closest friends and family who had been waiting nearby, ready to hug, scream, cry (again), and pop champagne. I cannot stress enough how much love was radiating off that dock.

A Slow Dance for Two (Like No One Was Watching)

After the “yes” and alllll the happy tears, they took a moment just for them. Noah pulled Marissa in for a slow dance right there on the dock, like it was the two of them and nothing else existed. Their favorite song played from a nearby Iphone…it was magic! Just pure love and a rhythm that was all their own. It was one of those quiet little moments that somehow says more than any grand gesture ever could.

Champagne Showers & City Celebrations

Because what’s a Manhattan proposal without some bubbly?! Noah and Marissa popped a bottle of champagne as the sun dipped low over the skyline, and the energy was unreal. Between dancing, celebrating with their people, and spinning each other around like giddy kids who just found out they won the freaking love lottery, it was joy, joy, joy!

Client Love

“Angelisa was absolutely INCREDIBLE to work with. Not only did the pictures turn out perfect, but she was so kind and thoughtful throughout the entire process. Angelisa captured our proposal and I know that no one else could have captured such a special moment as well as she did. 10/10 I will be working with her again in the future. Thank you Angelisa!!!”
